Ahhh, a veritable riot of color. Just the kind of thing a small child — or a person of any age, really — might study intently upon waking in the morning, in search of the arrangement’s meaning.
This is stunning and I love how it turned out! Looks like I have yet another project that I would like to make. Now if I can just remember where I put all that extra time I’ve had sitting around. :-)
I’m responding here to your comment on Flickr that you’ve allowed this top to grow blindly and someday that may cause a disaster. I think it’s a mistake to micro-manage piecing like this. You need to sew a bunch, and then stand back and look. The result, invariably, will be, “Aaaaahhhhh.” In other words, it all works. I LOVE it BTW. May need to make one of these too.
I absolutely, positively, whole-heartedly, love it. I’ve been itching to have a go at my scrap bin, and your compost quilt is giving me an extra push. I love your mini that you posted, too. I hope you had a great weekend!
It sorta looks like your header picture :) I think it’s super rad!
Oooh – looks wonderful!
Oh Wow! I’m totally in love with this! Scrappy is where it’s at!

Love it! I’m working on a similar compost/scraps quilt, but my scrap pieces are a bit larger. Just need to finish the back, sandwich, and quilt.

Congratulations!!! It looks amazing. I thought the log cabins wouldn’t fit with the others but I was completely wrong. I love it.

True compost becomes more than the sum of its parts.

I guess you don’t have to say anything when your quilt has these looks. But, girl, that’s a LOT of piecing.
totally in love with this!
Love the eddies. Good non-choice choice! Boredom as design tool!
This is turning out gorgeous. :) How big are your fabric pieces?
It’s looking pretty groovy! I’m glad to see you’ve persevered with it.
