More cataloging of the blocks contributed to the Give a F*ck project. There is one lovely stack of blocks on my sewing table right now that I am itching to get onto my (currently nonexistent) design wall. I have a few ideas for the plan–checker-boarding, bento-boxing, or swirly-whirly–and my usual swishing around on the floor just won’t work out to maintain my sanity in this situation. So I assume I just stick some batting on the wall somehow?
Disclaimer: The f*ck word appears down below at least 4 times. If that’s gonna be a problem, then don’t scroll down. Instead, pour yourself a cuppa and settle in for a while over in The Quilt Index.

I’m really looking forwards to seeing what you end up making with all these fuck-blocks! So many beautiful, humorous and artistic ways of writing a simple four letter word! Here is an idea for a design wall: http://www.ohfransson.com/oh_fransson/2011/04/how-to-make-a-simple-design-wall.html
Have a nice day :)
oh, these are so hilarious! My favorites so far are the one’s from Maryse and Jacey! So funny!
haha, I don’t know what it is but these blocks make me happy. You have a huge selection I can’t wait to see how they all look put together!
LauraJ’s block cracks me up! And Maryse’s cross-stitch is fabulous.
Hi Jacey, I made that block in the middle of December and I had the winter grumpies. I wanted to kill that snowman waving his happy little I heart winter flag. Instead of killing him I sent him off to live with C.
Ha! Now I like your block even more, Laura!
These blocks are all so fabulous! Winter still has me grumpy! We are awaiting a big storm tomorrow and I higly suspect school will be cancelled. Fuck!
I wanna roll around in Jacey’s fabric stash. Maryse sounds to me a bit like Dexter’s sister! As for a design wall, I used push pins to whack a big piece of batting up on a wall. You could do the same with one of those flocked backed table cloths so that you can roll the whole thing up when you’re not working on it — the blocks stick to the flocked side, but are not disturbed by the vinyl side when you roll it up. Of course a giant piece of foam insulation board (so you can use pins too) covered in batting or cotton flannel is great, but who’s got space for a giant piece of wall?
i love all of these… jacey and laura j’s comments above cracked me up! can’t wait for you to get mine!
i have absolutely loved every single one. i just keep imagining all the different ways and circumstances that cause use to use the word fuck and how that’s translated into this quilt.
