In the midst of stress, I can get bogged down in worry about messes created by bullies. Rather than stoop, I like to take a moment to take account of my life and this almost always leads to sending random cards and gifts to those to whom I am grateful.
This particular funk this year has me deeply thinking about the way I want to live my life. And, of course, most often bullies highlight for me the ways I (don’t) want to interact with others. This has now started to come out in my impulsive stitchery. Last week it was gratitude and now…
Sorry for the departure from the potty-mouthed, snarky works I normally indulge in. That’ll be back soon. Maybe.
Have a great week!

Humility.
Yes please.
hmmmmm…….
Don’t apologize. I like the current trend just fine…
(((hugs)))
Great sentiment, not getting pulled into the fray of others pettiness is a good goal. You could pull words at random out of the dictionary and your red work could still not be beat!
Thanks, C. I low how you share the behind the scenes succinctly, truthfully.
lovely. and a good reminder for us all.
You just keep doing what you’re doing, we dont’ need you to stick to a theme! Sorry to hear there’s been some crap flying. Not that I have heard anything, but I get that impression from your post.
I love this one for its simplicity. What do you do with all these lovely little projects? Hang them up? I appreciate the reminder to take the bad and turn it into good.
it looks beautiful c, in every way.
Simple virtues. Yes. (Funny, I have also been going through a spate of sending and calling. Cards, photos, small things I have made. I really like the idea of people opening their mailboxes and getting a thought from me. Actual mail! Some of the small people around me may actually *never* have gotten anything via. the post. I crave the non-Facebooky-ness of that.)
No need to apologize. It’s okay to feel however you feel without justifying it.
Ugh, bullying is the worst. I recently watched a shitty bullying situation unfold in my partner’s department, and just wanted to clock everyone involved. It’s pretty great that you can harness frustration and turn it into cross-stitch that isn’t even rude, heh.
who’s bullying you? i will fuck them up!
I think the current trend, interspersed with the usual potty mouth, works quite well.
I love this, particularly the border!
I usually retreat but always go to my sewing machine for comfort. Life is a journey and sometimes I just have to wonder if I got on the wrong flight. Don’t let the bullies get you down, pull yourself up like you are already doing and rebook the journey :0).
Big Hugs and Happy Sewing
