it’s been quite a long time since i’ve had the Yarnie Fever, so i’m just going to ride this wave of fun for a little while. we’ll get back to all that quilting soon enough.

more stripes

i get these whims, these ideas of Great Things that i can make. and i often indulge those whims late at night when my wits are not about me and defenses of logic are down. and so i end up with lots of abandoned swatches and half-thoughts strewn about. but i also have a stack of 35 Promising Projects that i rotate through, making incremental progress on each. as i finish one, another new one eventually comes to join the stack after the next bout of insomnia.

in the comfy crafting chair

with all these works-in-progress hanging over my head, it feels really good to finish things from time to time. and, for some reason, this feels like the right season for finishing some knits. perhaps i’m nesting to prepare for the coming winter?
