I managed to piece, quilt and hand-bind a quilt in two days this weekend. Mainly it went quickly for two reasons: the pieces are larger-scale than normal and I’d already practiced by making it in miniature to figure out the technicalities.
The quilting went much smoother this time with only one troublesome spot with a few tucks. Definitely better, tighter basting fixed the issues from before.
Reveal of the full quilt will need to wait…
This is final exam week at work. The regularity of the teaching schedule converts into a bit of a free-for-all of office hours, proctoring, grading, committee meetings and the scramble to finish up business before the 6-week winter break. I hope to finish the week with my noggin still attached to my body. This will be a challenge.
