on my breaks from grading yesterday, i knit. and somewhere in the process i got that fire. i really want to finish this one soon. once knitting the main body of the blanket is done, the only barrier is the lack of a long circular for the border; i’ve been waiting more than a month for it to come in the mail.
but maybe i can do something different on the edges? the prospect of miles of applied i-cord is not good, but it might be the cleanest and most appropriate treatment for the minimalist design.
I love the look of applied i-cord. But it is a bit tedious to do, I’ll admit. This blanket is superb so far.
A wonderful, simple crochet border would look gorgeous with all those bits of color you have going on. Love it! :)
I’m a big fan of applied i-cord, it went quicker than I thought on Parcheesi and really gave it a good, solid edge.
