Inspired by a Groupon offer, I joined an organic veg co-op. Here’s the first week’s bounty! It contains: russet potatoes, leeks, yellow onions, rainbow chard, broccoli, red leaf lettuce, lemons, clementines, apples, kiwi, mushrooms, blueberries, and bananas.


My hopes are two-fold: (1) even though I don’t eat much meat already, I want to further reduce that and (2) I want to start cooking more.

I am armed with decent equipment and stacks of cookbooks and tons of ideas. But do let me know if you have a favorite recipe. For instance, I’ve never cooked chard before…
