i really like it.
Really loving this one so far! The colors are awesome, that fuschia adds such a nice pop! :)
Beautiful! You make me want to learn to crochet!
I’ll send you more red yarn :)
Very pretty colors C! It’s going to be gorgeous when you are finished.
Oh, what a beautiful color combination!
Oh I love the colors you picked put together!
Every time I see one of your blankets, it makes me want to pull out the crochet hooks. I haven’t crocheted in years, wonder how long it would take to come back to me? Interesting color combination, I would not have thought of it. You have such a great eye for color combinations. Hope your feeling stronger each day!
OMG that is lovely! You make the best crochet blankets!
I gasped at the beauty of this! Gorgeous!
de toute beauté!!!
YES! This is just gorgeous. I’d never ever have put those colors together, but they SING!
I’m in AWE of you! The stuff you come up with is amazing. I haven’t crocheted in years and seeing this (amongst other stuff you’ve made) is really making me want to put all my stuff out.
For the above, do you use a pattern or just do squares and then piece them all together? These are “granny squares” right? I’ve never made any of these! I’ve always just done afghans with one particular stitch. I want to make THIS. This is so awesome! Guess I’m going to need to scour through all my crochet books and see if I can come up with something! Do you have a book you recommend to make these squares?
This is going to be absolutely amazing! As if it isn’t already!!
I’ll also reply by email…
Thanks! I just use a basic granny square. Here’s the tutorial that i first learned from: from the Purl Bee. It’s free and nicely explained.
Your crochet (and all of your crafting, for that matter) always makes me smile. Your newest WIP is no exception!
I think what amazes me most of all is your speed – you have some pretty nifty fingers! In just a matter of a coupla days you have already amassed the beginnings of another super blanket! (Oh BTW if you lived closer I’d totally take you up on the knitting lessons. I need discipline in that area lol! ;) )
Lovely combination as always!
It is quite amazing how many of us have the same: want to crochet reaction to your wonderful creations.
So, I’ve started “learning crochet”. The book I have is very old and basic, and oddly enough, it says absolutely nothing about granny squares, which is what I really want to make: a granny square blanket for my couch.
Namely this one: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/babette-blanket
Any book suggestions to get me there?
I’ll reply by email also.
If you know the basic stitches–single and double crochet–then just buy the Babette pattern and follow the instructions. In the comments above, I linked to a tutorial for another style of granny square. Both are good sources for instructions. There is no need for a separate book.
you must have soooo many gorgeous blankets!!
Love the warm colours.
Love the colours and combination of different sized squares. So pretty!
These colors really sing together!
Just beautiful! Love the richness in your color choices.
I love this and think it’s absolutely gorgeous!
Oooh! Lovely lovely lovely. And it looks so fun to make!
