Hee-hee, I know you really thought it was Wednesday…no such luck!! Love these word blocks. Maybe this quilt will be easier for prudes to accept. ;)
ha! you saw that? oy, what a week already.
i wonder if they’ll know “bump uglies”…?
moving right along…love all the color
wow wow wow! and glad it is not wednesday yet!
so awesome and inspirational :) I love the colors :)
love “bump uglies”!
Wish I could work side by side with you to absorb some of your fabulousness! Is there a book/pattern you use for making letters? In my mind they’d be a huge time suck, but you work so fast and get so much done, I’m guessing I need to figure out how to do them. In my penmanship, not yours!!
I use Word Play Quilts by Tonya Ricucci.
You really are so fast. By the time I’ve lazily admired your photos, you’ve probably finished the Webster’s Dictionary “s” section for another quilt. I will never be tired of telling you how awesome you are. <3
This quilt is just glowing with beautiful colors! Your pics are fantastic.
I am really loving the layout you chose! And the colors are equally awesome. Lovely!
Had to look up bump uglies. Thank you for expanding my English vocabulary! :D
Looks great, nice words and colors :)
Seeing that last photo made me smile. A little surprise among the respectful words. ;)
Why would these be “disrespectful”?
Hi, I am a new follower, but I love your work. I have been making some word blocks myself, and I really love Tonya’s book. I like the consistency of your blocks, however. Do you mind sharing what size strips you use for the letters, as well as for the background?
I love these word blocks and the bright colours you use. And I love the “font” your sewing.
“Adore! Crave! Dance! [and] See me bump uglies?” : ) : ) : ) This is a great project, as always. Is it too late to have a little section reserved for some of Joey’s wedding speech from Friends?
“We are gathered here today on this joyous occasion to celebrate the special love that Monica and Chandler share. It is a love based on giving and receiving, as well as having and sharing. And the love that they give and have is shared and received. And through this having and giving and sharing and receiving, we too can share and love and have and receive.”
I think this will be one of my favorite word quilts that you have made! The colors are great too.
Bahahaha! Bump uglies made me laugh! Loving this quilt.
As a Brooklyn girl (living in the more decorous Pacific NW), I have thoroughly enjoyed your use of some of my favorite words in your quilts (my kids say driving with the Brooklyn grandma is the best because they learn so many new curse words) but today I am feeling the joy of this new project of yours. Love it!
I’ve just discovered your blog and I think I love you. I love words and the way you use them.
gotta love that last pic!
I love this so much! Am I repeating myself. I love the colors and the words and the white on vibrant colors is so perfect! Can’t wait to see the whole quilt.
SO GOOD. And yes, that needed to be in caps. So you could hear the volume of my voice. Excited!
Wow!!! I can only admire your chef d’oeuvre and how fast you work.
Now I need to find out what those “bump uglies” are.
Its hard going back words with your blog posts. I see the end before the beginning! Maybe should just try harder not to get soooo behind in my blog reading! ;)
