WOW! Very cool: Ideas, Hues, Execution. All are lovely, but I have a special love for the band sampler.
How very strange! A major shift in consciousness? Seen this way, it’s rather shocking…..
You are very patient. I love the beautiful work, I am not sure I am yet sold on pastels, even when you have made beautiful things out of them.
These are looking lovely! I am developing a taste for pastels and your photo is moving me closer to it!
The knitting pattern one kills me!
It is still a little jarring to see these pastels coming from you.
I am always very drawn to deep, warm colors this time of year…the burgundies and deep yellows, oranges and warm browns in particular, so your ice-cream colors are a bit of a jolt. (Though beautifully worked, as always.) But I do like the top photo of folded fabric. I particularly like the line of shadow cast by the fabric.
i bought a bundle of pastels with the view to learning seminole piecing, dont know whether i’m inspired to continue or not, yours has just blown me away!! utterly yummy. like candy floss and marshmallow and parma violets and peppermints. in a fair isle jumper….
Lover of pastels here so you’re in my bailiwick [how often does one get the chance to use that word]. Gorgeous rainbow of colors and the variety of shapes in the bottom piece is fascinating.
funny how we are defined by our choices in this instance color or rather hue.
because I am used to ‘edgy’ cauchy with bold sweeps of color and hue the pastel has me reaching for the mouse to make sure that I are on the right page. although the log cabin looks familiar the pastel really changes the look. I would love to see a couple of your log cabin pieces next to each other to see how the pastel chnages the feel of the quilt.
but as always your work is stunning and perfect and thoughtful : ) *
*adding smiley face because it seems to want to be here ; )
