Sometimes one just needs to hunker down and focus on some close work. From your pictures I am reminded that frequently the reverse of a stitchery piece is as compelling as the front.
Wow. Such detailed work.
Beautiful stitches, beautiful you!
That is so incredible! I would be interested in your technique. How Did you make the pattern? From a photograph, I assume. But did you have a program to convert it to squares? Did you just figure out what colors went where on your own? Amazing! It was such fun to watch your face appear as you worked. Thanks for sharing your work. Will you frame it or use it in another project or ??? I have been so curious as I have watched the process over the past weeks. Congrats on finishing.
The back is revelatory.
Even the back is stunning! Quite remarkable. You’re such an amazing and unique artist. This deserves an honor and recognition of some kind for sure, though I’m so ignorant of this type of art that I have no idea of who or what would honor it.
Beautiful…and the piece is too!
Ahfuckingmazing. Like, woah. Thanks for showing the reverse, too.
OMG…. the back! Unbelievable!
wow… the back is as cool as the front, and both are gorgeous. thanks for sharing your mad skills with us!
wow. Wow! WOW!
The colors really are perfect – it’s stunning. (And in West Wing style I find myself thinking – what’s next?!)
This is incredibly. You are truly inspiring!
You know, Chawne, you are not an open book, but you sometimes offer glimpses of what’s in your heart as it comes out through your hands, and I’m thankful that you share bits of how you get there. You’ve inspired me to get more connected and be more thoughtful about my own work, plus you prove to me again and again that patience and persistence are worth the time they take. I love this beautiful and incredible glimpse of both sides of you. The back makes me think of all the artistic channels of neuron connections in your brain. Were this mine I’d show both sides forever, but if you choose to conceal the back, I will again be thankful to have glimpsed a bit more of what’s inside.
The back side is even cool! Your work is wonderful!!!
Your art blows me away. Amazing cross-stitch! Congratulations on completion and I too am grateful that you showed the back of the work as well.
Ack! So detailed! So tiny! Love all the pictures of this work, as well as the work itself.
I am in awe. Your work is so moving.
